Using the extensive documentation of cross-campus initiatives, I mapped out key environmental themes (ocean, air, transportation/cities, water, energy, food systems, biodiversity, earth systems/modeling, materials/art/design, media/communications). Interviewing a handful of students about how they engage with looking for initiatives related to their interests, it became clear that the trend was to search within their school (i.e if a design student has a passion/interest in ‘water,’ they may never know there are projects related to water happening in the engineering school where their background may be able to provide value). This documentation (spreadsheet) along with the following website prototype inspired the creation of the Sustainability Office’s newsletter.

An analog wireframe emerged that categorized projects so as to allow students/faculty to see what was happening across schools.
